It's a lovely watercolor. I have heard many people say that not having formal training in a particular medium frees them to try the "wrong" ways and sometimes they are just right! That is a lovely anniversary present in the making and I know it will make their hearts glad in a sad time. I hope your shoulder begins to heal - in the meantime, your smaller work is just lovely. For bursitis and inflammation, I slowly raise my arm as high as possible ten times in the morning under the stream of a hot shower.
