I have had a very
productive week. Lots of work and happy with
it!
Been working on my
Portrait and it is coming on I bits and drabs.
I am struggling with the size as it is large, and my shoulders get very
tired from lifting my arm up (result of accident). When I finish, I think it will my last
picture that size. I did a picture of
some trees, the size of the canvas was 40cm x 50cm and I was able to work at consistently
as I worked with it flat on the table and I didn’t have to lift my arm!
Still lots of work but parts are practically finished see
closeup below.
The other picture
was some winter trees; I mentioned last week that I love trees and had a
painting in my head, well here it is finished and all! For a change I use the
acrylic thickly instead of my thin washes in layers.
It is autumn here
and the leaves are starting to fall.
However in NZ our native trees are evergreen so there is always some
green. When I was living in Britain I
used to love the skyline and the tracery and colours of the winter landscape. So this is a memory picture of some trees I
used to see in winter on a drive to the track where I used to train twice a
week at dusk. (Once I was one of those crazy ultra-runners!)
I have also done a
lot of journaling but will post on that tomorrow.
So have a happy Paint Party Friday everyone.
(I always feel strange saying that as Friday is almost over for us here,
just have to remember that most of you are just starting Friday!)
