Silence

Not a productive week!  Messed everything up!
However Giggles of The Happy Tiler  saved the day.
Since I stopped blogging earlier in the year, I have lurked  about PPF but haven't felt like leaving  comments.   Tonight when I read her latest post,  it really spoke to me.  I have had heaps of grief this year and just cant speak.  It hurts too much.  I was sitting on the couch thinking I must leave a comment while watching the Australian  version of The Voice and Adam Lambert was guest singer.  He sang My heart is a Ghost Town and I realised that what was the matter.  I have to lay the ghosts to rest!  Let the living come into my heart, let my heart live, and stop the silence.

So I photographed a messed up drawing and played with it digitally.  Thanks Sherry.

  1. Awe Sharon so glad I could make a difference! This does my heart good! I am so sorry for your grief, I understand the silence well... Glad you have given yourself permission to grieve properly and now possibly lay the ghosts to rest and live the life you dream of! Beautiful heartfelt post with hauntingly beautiful art! I love the Voice! Beardo and Cupcake saw Adam Lambert when he toured as Freddy Mercury's replacement with Queen! They loved it!

    Hugs Giggles

  6. I am always amazed how a person, a song, a word.....can resonate to the point of change. I've had my share of grief too, and I love the thought of laying the ghosts aside and moving out of the ghost town. Sending HUGS.

  8. What a lovely positive post, Sharon, it's great that we can be helped by others in our Blogland.
Your painting says many things, the person moving determinedly forward, the dreamlike quality of it, the words and the happy overall colour of pinks.
I can't image how you achieved this mysterious effect, but it's terrific.

  10. I'm sure as Giggles words helped you when you needed comfort, so will your words resonate with someone else who needs comfort.
It's only right that you should feel this way... it shows that you cared.
But it's also good that you are ready to move on and I'm sure your art will be a comfort. You've certainly created a beautiful piece of artwork to accompany this profound post.
We're all here for you and wish you well in the coming months.

  14. So full of emotion. What a beautiful expression of your grief and the lingering results of otherwise unspeakable losses. I was moved when I saw it even before I read your post.
