I haven’t got much
done in the last week. Came down with
the dreaded lurgy and it is only in the couple of days that I have felt human.
I know I should be
doing icads, summer of colour and my giveaway journal. But I have been lured by the computer. However, one image I did is suitable for
Summer of Color 2013. The choice for
this last week of Kirsten party was sage green and Sepia. (Thank you Kirsten
for hosting such a wonderful party)
This is the header
for my new blog Alice and Phyllis. I have a confession; I love food,
cooking growing and gazing at recipes.
Like any foodie I have a dream to write a cookbook. Some of you may remember that I was doing a
Blurb photo book of my Mum’s life for the family reunion at the end of the
year. That is finished now. I suddenly thought, I could do a book on
recipes my grandmothers collected. So to
keep me on the straight and narrow I decided to have a blog where I can post a
recipe once a week. I have decided to go
with wordpress, and I love it. It has
only been up 2 days and without linking to anything I have people subscribing?!
If you are interested in having a look it is here http://aliceandphylis.wordpress.com .
For Paint Party
Friday I will have to rely on the icads I did before I got the flu. Last Sunday it was raining, dark, cold and
generally miserable. So I lit the fire
and pull up the coffee table and laid out what I needed.
I was assisted by
Bro my cat. I actually think he was more
interested in the fire! Er … you don’t
see that TV remote!
I have now finished
the poem I was illustrating and have stuck them in a little journal.
Here are the icads that
I managed to get finished. Still way behind, but no doubt I will catch up!
I did not get any
more Postcards done. But I am sure there
is enough for last week’s winner Sandra of Doris’s Daughter to choose 2
from. I have leave my email address on
her last post so if she could email me with her snail mail address and her
choice. Anyone who leaves a comment has
a chance to win 2 cards.
Next week is the
last week of my giveaways and I will post more about the journal I am doing for
the main prize. Anyone who has let a
comment over the last month has a chance to win the journal.
Hopefully I will be
more productive next week. Have a great
week everybody.

All the happy ICADS look beautiful together now, wow by the end of it you'll have the greatest collection of art!. Your icads are so colorful and happy, Sharon. I'm glad you explained that you had flu, because lurgy was not in my vocabulary and all I could think of was that it was lethargy spelled funny. I have lethargy a lot when it comes to art, but thankfully, not lurgy.
ReplyDeletesorry to hear about the flu-ugh... but that fire sure does look inviting. I always wanted to have a home with a fireplace... great header for your new blog and the SOC challenge. And your cards are always so vibrant and happy-love them. Get well soon and happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteLovely colourful icads, so sorry to hear about your flu. Will check out your new food blog, sounds great!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun when I can double up on visits with one click. I originally came for the lovely SOC entry, but stayed to see your ICADs. What fun colors you used in those. And even though you were sic, you created a lovely entry for the final SOC colors.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your cookbook, too.
Love your icads, they are all such colourful, happy paintings. I couldn't make out the photo with your cat and the fireplace!, then realised you are having Winter at the moment, that explains to me the flu you got...I was thinking how awful getting flu in Summer! In fact how awful getting flu at all!! Do hope you are fully over it by now.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon. Love that your cat is nestled by the fire. Lots of great color in your work. Great work.
ReplyDeletegloria
