Hi you all, I
have decided to come back to Art Inspires as I never felt comfortable at Zana’s
Journey. I did a test post during the
week and the troll seems to have gone.
But I will use comment moderation just in case she resurfaces. (Just
have to remember to check my emails regularly!!)
Today I have 3 journal pages that I have done for Mix It
Monthly. The theme this month is crazy
dresses with the colours below. I haven't stuck strictly to the theme, as the muse takes me off on tangents!
The first picture is of me looking forward to the
summer (hehehe). I did mange to stick to the colours here.
The picture below is of how we keep one eye on what
others are wearing and often turn green with envy not realising that we are
just as cute!
The one
below is of a lady who has dresses herself with trash or found objects! I actually saw one not long ago and she looked
awesome. To help with the trash look I
layered the page with tissue paper and glued string to the page. Then used stencils and thins layers of
watercolour and pastels. She is my
favourite!
Have a
great creative week
Love your crazy dresses, they ae fun. Hope all goes smoothly now with the blog. Hugs, Valerie

ReplyDeleteoh, I love your crazy dresses ladies! It's good to see you at your old blog again. I had trouble getting used to Zana's Journey also ... ;-)
ReplyDeleteAMAZING Sharon... I love them all soooo much!! I even had a little giggle...the first one looked a bit phallic to me...probably just my warped mind....I was wondering if it was done with a finger print...Love it! You always inspire me!! I think you should have greeting cards made up with all three of these prints!! Just wonderful! They are so special!!

ReplyDeleteI think these are utterly fabulous, they are so alive, so colourful and I love your style of painting, it looks so free and happy. The last lady is wonderful, she looks so confident - she may actually be a duchess about to open her grand Garden Party. Your first has such personality too, love her necklace and her Attitude. The three ladies eyeing each other up are brilliant too. Really inspiring art.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a unique style! I love your use of color, and the way you lay complimentary colors in just the right places! Your girls have so much character - wonderful expressions on them all! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteSharon these are so amazing and all make my heart sing!!! Your colors are so popping and the first girl caught my attention with her yellow top ;) I also are in love with the third painting and her funny hat as well as her sweet expression and her pushing motion!! Loooove!! They all are so very welcome to dance with us on Mix It Monthly ♥ Conny
