Afghans
I have many Afghans on the go,
I think I suffer startitis! So I want to
rein in the impulse to start each new Cal I see!
Current WIPs
Frida
Bamm Shazamm
Bam2016
(the above three are up to date
as they current Cals)
Sophie
Around the Bases
Puffed Wheat
Power of Love
Also I am letting myself do one
in September as there are Cals that look interesting starting them, but before
I start it I have to have finished Sophie or around the Bases.
Doilies
There are two
directions I want to take with doilies, one
traditional ( I am making an off white bed cover made up of doilies from Patricia
Kristoffersens book Fabulous Doilies: two I want to experiment using modern
colours with antique patterns.
New Ventures
I have just
discovered Freeform crochet and so I would like to make a bag and a wall-hanging.
Household items
I would like to
make more things that are useful, like dishcloths and try some with knitting
rather than crochet.
On the sewing front
I want to make new curtains for my home as I discovered there are some
wonderful fabrics out there. Also ah hem
I would like to have a go at recovering one of my sofas!!!!
Art
I would like to
take a foray into making a journal out of fabric, crochet knitting needlework
and paint!
Well I think that
is enough to go on; knowing me the list will get ever bigger as the year goes
on! I think it is going
to be a great productive year with the blog along keeping me motivated. I look forward to seeing the other participants’
lists!
A great diversified list for sure. We all get startitis now and then. So you will feel right at hime here. Just from what I can see of your handiwork, I believe you will wow us many times this year.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you are going to be creating many wonderful things!! Can't wait to see them all.
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty doilies! Love the vintage one in white. I just wish I had that kind of patience! Looking forward to see where this goes ...
ReplyDeleteSharon, great list! I'm looking forward to seeing all your lovely creations. And I'm especially excited at the moment at the thought of seeing you free-form crochet. It both fascinates and frightens me. I can imagine it is a very artistic experience.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list. I love the colors of your afghan in the top photo. I look forward to seeing your free form. One of my UFOs to finish is a freeform bag from a workshop I took a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteOhhh lots of pretties Sharon and I love the idea of vintage patterns with new and modern colour schemes, very retro looking. I can't wait to see the many great creations to come from this corner each YOP week this year, best of luck!
ReplyDeleteLove all your projects! I am making Frieda's basket for my daughter....it's her favorite artist...or one of them at least. She's also an art teacher and a knitter so I found some Frieda knit markers to go with it. Anyway, I have never joined a CAL or KAL but I love blankets and socks and I always have both on the needles so it would be fun. Let us know the links to them if you have time and I love the pictures you showed! Yes, there are gorgeous fabrics out there too...I have 2 cats that have ruined my furniture but if I recover they will do it again. I need to recover in steel wool fabric! Free-form crochet....you are very creative! Welcome aboard and I'm so glad you've joined us! It's a great, non-judgemental, supportive, inspirational group!

ReplyDeleteWhat a nice and varied list for the year with tried and true crafts-crochet and some new things to challenge you. It seems you have an artistic bent and are someone who loves color! I can imagine just how lovely your crocheted bed cover is-I am looking forward to this year with you and your projects!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun list you have here! I like how you're incorporating most into your home. I can't wait to see more of your afghans.
ReplyDeleteLove your colourful blog Sharon. I shall be following your doiley posts with great interest as I love making and drooling over (not literally) doileys. Your artwork is lovely, I like your style.
ReplyDeleteMy first year as a YOP participant and it is so great finding all these new bloggers and ravelers. Your place is very colourful and cheerful. I like that.
