Mail Art

The prompt for The Artist’s Playroom this week is Mail Art.  I am taking part in the postcard swap at Artists in Blogland, so it’s a good opportunity to show the 3 cards I am sending off this week.

I had already completed two, and was puzzling over what to do for the third one when I thought I could kill two birds with one stone so to speak!

The next one was a quote that inspired me. I am an unashamed cat lover.  I just love the independence that they have.

This one is purely decorative; I find work like this quite therapeutic as it is a form of doodling.

I did these in pencil, I tried to use watercolour paints but found it difficult to paint so small, and the card had to be 6 x 4 in, really tiny for me.  I just don’t know how people manage ATCs which are even smaller.

  4. really gorgeous, Sharon!! I work really small, mostly, but have got into "bigger" stuff and so coming to this postcard size is just right.

I, too, love the therapeutic quality of colouring or doodling. I have been DOing a LOT of colouring, in fact, and finding myself more and more comfortable the more I JUST DO IT!!
